Playa de Porcía

Porcía Beach is a triangular, pebble and sand beach shared by El Franco and Tapia de Casariego. The river of the same name flows into the sea here, forming a natural boundary between the two boroughs. Noted for its river meanders and the Islets of Boy.

Easy to access and with good amenities, the remains of a loading quay for iron ore and various bollards on rocks for mooring boats are visible from the beach. It is usually crowded, perhaps in part because of its beauty, its golden sands and its especially calm waters.
