Cierro Grande Golf Club, located in Rapalcuarto, Tapia de Casariego, is the most important contribution of the 90’s to the sport in the West of Asturias and the Mariña de Lugo. Its current facilities have undergone spectacular growth over the years, starting with the inauguration at Easter 1994 of a course built on 4.2 hectares of land, with 6 holes for 6 players. of land, with 6 holes par 3 (18 strokes), with a tournament in which the first stroke was given by Nicandro González on behalf of the builder and designer of the course, Mr. Ramón Espinosa, and in which the winner was Alberto Pelegrín, passing through the second inauguration of a course already approved by the Royal Spanish Golf Federation of nine holes par 66, to the present day, in which the course has 11 holes par 70.
