Las Catedrales beach is located on the coast of the province of Lugo (Galicia), also known as La Mariña lucense. The place where it is located belongs to the municipality of Ribadeo, bordering to the east with the Principality of Asturias and to the west with the municipality of Barreiros.
It was originally called Aguas Santas beach. However, it is known by all as the beach of Las Catedrales due to the gigantic rocks in the shape of colossal arches and towers, very similar to those seen in Christian temples.
