Playa de Barayo

This beach is shared by the councils of Navia and Valdés, with the river Barayo acting as a natural dividing line. Declared a Nature Reserve, it can be accessed from the Navia side via the town of Vigo and from the Valdes side via Sabugo. Its spectacular dunes and rich and varied flora have earned it special protection. The rocky enclave of Sántinas, on the right bank, is simply spectacular. It is admitted as a nudist beach.

Classified as a Partial Natural Reserve of the Biosphere, it is endowed with an exuberant area of dunes and marshes, of great ecological and scenic value, as well as an environment populated with scrubland, woods, cliffs, etc.
